Newport was incorporated on 31 October 2007 for the purpose of exploration, development and investment in the resources sector. Highlights of the Company include:- The Newport Board has experience in growing companies and increasing shareholder wealth in the process.
- Joint Venture with PlatSearch and Bohuon where the Company can earn a 60% interest in the Pathfinder Project by spending $1.5 million within four years.
- The Company will explore the area for Sudbury-style nickel sulphide deposits and iron-oxide associated copper-gold deposits.
The Pathfinder project embraces the Toolgerie, Yalata and Black Hillstenements on the western Gawler Craton. A joint venture agreement hasbeen signed with PlatSearch NL (“PlatSearch”) and Bohuon Resources PtyLtd (“Bohuon”) whereby Newport can earn a 60% interest by completingexpenditure of $1.5 million within four years.
